As a child I was very afraid of this movie.
The decision to reconsider was disappointing. It seems that the horror film was designed for children: the main character is a child, and the most terrible sensations were caused by hands from the wall and terrible dungeons.
Adult glance of the new details caught only that BDSM suit and the general naivety of what is happening on the screen.
The film is good for its time, a classic. But the test of time did not stand. Some things are better left in the past - pleasant (or scary, heh-heh) memories.
